API Integration Specialist

Position Overview

As an API Integration Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing API integrations to ensure seamless connectivity between our various systems and applications. You will work closely with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver efficient and scalable integration solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in API integration, with a strong track record of designing and implementing integration solutions.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in working with RESTful APIs, SOAP, and various data formats (e.g., JSON, XML). Experience with API management tools and platforms is a plus.
• Programming: Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar languages used in API development.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Tools: Familiarity with integration tools and technologies, as well as version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Key Responsibility Areas

• APIDesign &Development: Design, develop, and implement APIs to facilitate integration between different systems, applications, and platforms.
• Integration Management: Manage and oversee API integrations, ensuring that data flows smoothly and that systems communicate effectively.
• Technical Support: Provide technical support for API-related issues, troubleshooting and resolving problems to maintain optimal performance and reliability..
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for APIs, including technical specifications, integration guidelines, and user manuals.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, define integration needs, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Monitoring & Optimisation: Monitor API performance, analyse usage patterns, and implement optimizations to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Security: Implement and maintain security measures to protect data and ensure secure API access and operations.
